Basic Computer Course (BCC). The Programme offered by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology(NIEIT) Offers basic computer training to be skilled in the computer for Personal and Professional use. After completing this course one can get certified for various examinations as a plus certification of the BCC Course. In step with effort to achieve the objective of achieving computer literacy in an inclusive manner, NIELIT has launched a new programme, “Basic Computer Course (BCC)”. The objective of the course is to impart basic level computer appreciation programme with more emphasis on hands on training. Initially, the course was conceived as to boost the concept of introducing a course on computer fundamentals, especially for students, studying vocational courses at ITIs/ITCs. However, the course has gained popularity amongst many more categories.

The course is designed to aim at developing a basic level appreciation program for the common man or anyone. After completing the course the incumbent will be able to use the computer for basic purposes of preparing his personnel/business letters will be able to create data and basic operation with data using a spreadsheet. Will be able to create and use basic presentations will be able to view information on the Internet (the web)Will be able to create an email account and send/receive emails will be able to use Digital services will be able to use Social Media, E-Governance, and their usage, etc.

  • The education and training for BCC shall be imparted at the institutions specifically authorised by NIELIT for conducting BCC. In addition, the students can study the course on self-learning mode and can apply as a direct candidate for appearing in the BCC examination conducted by NIELIT.
